Chinese Grappling / Chin-Na

Joint locks and pressure points are one of the best ways to control a person without hurting them.  The term in Chinese is “Chin-Na”  which means to cease and to control. In this 2 hour workshop we will explore joint locks and muscle twisting. Much of the China Na we will explore was favored by the Shanghai police in the first quarter of the century. The great body of Chinese grappling however was developed by the Shaolin and was considered one of the essential skills at the temple. You will learn new locks, and discover some of the “sensitive” areas of the body. Progress forward in your martial arts journey. Join us for an exciting examination of  “Chin-Na Fa”  (the skill of catch and hold). This workshop is open to both Kung Fu and Tai Chi students and to friends, no previous experience is necessary.

Saturday October 11th from 1-3 pm at Wu Xing Studios. $ 50 tax incl. Register and pay to insure a spot as space is limited. Contact us with questions
